Tribute to Karim Manji
I don’t quite know what to say.
I think you may have been at PV when I first came to wake up London in 2015 but people mentioned you often. We first spoke properly when you led a workshop at plum village and I think our lives have criss crossed since then at many afternoons of mindfulness and various retreats. It was so nice to be almost neighbours coming out of the pandemic and you being in Brighton felt like a little sense of familiarity, and I loved hanging out, chatting, laughing, debating- which we probably didn’t do enough of. I still haven’t been to all the restaurants you recommended, but I think I still remember a few that you mentioned and I will go to them and remember you. It was so generous to share about your journey of training to be a counsellor with my partner. You would have been amazing at it, too.
