Tribute to Karim Manji

I met Karim not long ago, in September 2024, as fellow counselling/psychotherapy students. We clicked immediately and in the short time since then we quickly became close friends and spent many hours talking deeply together, learning from each other and laughing at his bad/brilliant puns. Karim was a thoughtful, funny, principled, considered, humble and gentle soul who I feel privileged to have spent the short time with him that I did. I cannot believe that he is gone and I know it is going to take along time to accept I won't see him again. He would have made a wonderful counsellor and no doubt would have helped and inspired many people in doing so, as he clearly has done in other areas of his life. The world is a much worse place without Karim and I am going to miss him very much.
