Tribute to Karim Manji

Dear Karim, People say “I can’t believe they’re gone” all the time after an unexpected loss, but it is especially true with you. You lived like you really meant to be alive; like your words and actions mattered (and they did.) I admired that about you. I will miss your company on our walks around Maldon. I will miss our shared love of nature, non violence, and trashy TV. I will miss your puns, your dating stories, and your silly memes. I will miss your support and your friendship, and most of all your kindness and at times brutal honesty. I have found living out in the sticks lonely over the years - I hope you knew how much I valued the time I had with you as my friend. I will continue the walk with you in my thoughts; and with the promise to take up the causes we cared about a little harder for you along the way. Love to you. Katy x
