Tribute to Karim Manji

At the first Plum Village memorial online I wrote a short prayer to Avalokiteshvara, inspired by the chant. I don't recall all of it but have done my best to recreate it. Avalokiteshvara Great Buddha of the thousand arms Each one touching the earth With boundless compassion. For 39 years You lent us one of your arms. Karim, the Generous One. Who touched so many hearts. Today With a deep bow And many tears We return him to you. As we seek In our turn To touch the earth With your boundless compassion.
